1. High transparency and aesthetic value
POF film has become the preferred material for commodity packaging due to its high transparency and glossiness. Its light texture can achieve a glass-like light-transmitting effect, and can clearly display the appearance details of the product, such as the color of food, the printed pattern on the cosmetic bottle, etc., significantly improving the aesthetics of commodity display and consumer purchasing desire.
2. Excellent shrinkage performance and protection ability
The shrinkage rate of POF film can reach 65%-90% (different processes and formulas vary), and it can fit various special-shaped items tightly, such as irregular tableware combinations, multi-piece beverage bundled packaging, etc. The "bundling effect" generated by its shrinkage tension not only makes the packaging appearance more compact and beautiful, but also effectively prevents the goods from shifting or colliding during transportation. For example, it is pointed out that the shrinkage force of POF film can be regulated by special processes, which can not only gently wrap fragile crafts, but also firmly fix heavy industrial parts. In addition, its tear strength and puncture resistance (such as the burst strength of cross-linked POF film reaches 87.5%) can resist friction and impact in the logistics process, providing double protection for the goods.
3. Environmental protection characteristics: full chain advantages from production to recycling
As a substitute for traditional PVC film, the environmental protection of POF film is reflected in three major links:
Production process: using polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene) as the main raw materials, the production energy consumption is reduced by more than 30% compared with PVC, and no chlorine is added, avoiding the emission of toxic gases such as dioxins.
Use process: POF film with a thickness of only 0.01-0.02mm can achieve the protection effect of traditional materials, and the raw material consumption per unit area is reduced by 50%, reducing the use of plastic from the source.
Recycling: Waste POF film can be converted into products such as trash cans and plastic pallets through melting and regranulation to achieve resource circulation.
4. Multi-scenario applications and market prospects
The wide temperature resistance range of POF film (-50℃ to 120℃) makes it adaptable to extreme environments. For example, frozen food packaging remains flexible at -20℃, and cosmetics transported in tropical areas can also avoid high temperature deformation. At present, its application has covered three major fields:
Food and medicine: with its non-toxic properties, it is used for vacuum packaging of meat products, blister sealing of medicines, etc.;
Daily chemicals: as a shrink label for shampoo bottles, it has both anti-counterfeiting and brand promotion functions;
Industrial manufacturing: protect precision instruments from dust pollution and replace traditional PE wrapping film.
